5:42 pm	College Apps Suck!! I must finish my essays... I still have to write "Why Vanderbilt" and "Why Duke", and I still have no idea what I will do for them. Why does applying for college have to suck this much? Helpful Advice from Bob: Don't apply to more than 5 colleges. Only apply to colleges to which you are willing to go. Start the application process early so that you can finish early. Apply to as many common app schools as is humanly possible...this will make your life soooo much easier. Scholarship applications also suck...but I don't know when they are due, and I continue to maintain that they are due January 15! Finish essay... 10:05 pm	College Update...and stuff Finished Princeton essay. (Yay!) It's about Mrs. Kennedy...I knew her since I was two years old. She was the "person who has affected me in a significant way." I have to shorten another essay for Princeton (either the Latin one or the music one...probably the music one--the Latin one takes more explanation, i.e. what is certamen, etc.). Went to the Spurs' game...WE WON!!! We whooped up on Phoenix. There were some interesting calls, but we still won by over twenty points. Still have two more essays: "Why Vanderbilt?" and "Why Duke?" I don't know...you're a good school and you offer merit-based scholarships...I really don't even want to finish them and see if I still get in...I'll probably use the same essay for both. I hope I get the National Security Agency scholarship...It would give me a free ride wherever I wanted to go, provided that I work for them during the summers and for 6 years after college, but, hey, it's worth it. Oh, I'd also have to major in: a language, mathematics, or computer science. I think I could pull that off, right? Oh well...more essays for tomorrow...better go to bed. (1 Comment |Comment on this)
1:30 pm	First Entry...Let's See How this goes...... Well, this is my first entry. I finally got the internet back, and I can use it...though I'm not sure that my parents really know that they gave the internet back to me...oh well. I have three college essays to do, one each for Princeton, Vanderbilt, and Duke. I have to finish them by 5:00...I'm not sure if that's going to happen. Oh well. I almost don't want to try anymore with these applications because I already got into my backup schools...Trinity and Georgetown. I really, really want to go to Yale...Wish me good luck!
